GETTING STARTED
You can change game settings - FULL SCREEN
mode*, MUSIC volume, etc. from the MAIN MENU. Select "OPTIONS" to
change the default settings such as FULL SCREEN on/off, SOUND FX volume,
and MUSIC volume.
Select a New Game to begin playing! Click on the

There are many Infernal Contraptions throughout
Incrediball™ which are area specific. Each one causes a different
reaction when the ball crosses its path, always making the game more
exciting.
CHINA
This
PROJECTILE BOX contains projectiles that you can catch, and then deploy
as weapons against the construct. There are many types of projectiles.
Some allow you to manipulate the elements, while others are
technological marvels--all are potent tools for destruction.
When a ball passes beneath this balloon, it is transformed into a Big
Ball. Big Balls have vast destructive power. Use these INFLATORS wisely.
This
spinning plate on the ground acts an ACCELERATOR. When a ball passes
over one, it increases in velocity. You are careful to keep track of any
accelerated balls, that they do not fly away from your control.
These
spinning saws will catch your ball and shred it. Small balls may pass
through the blades of these SPLITTERS unharmed, whilst larger balls are
split into more fragments. Fortunately, the Israelium compound re-forms
into several smaller balls.
Your
ball passes over the yin-yang MANHOLE COVER, and suddenly disappears,
then reappears at another manhole. “How is this possible,” you ask Mr.
Lynch. “All things are possile in the Tao,” he replies, with an
inscrutable smile. This can also act as a portal to a bonus level when
glowing.
Here
is the TREASURE BOX you've been seeking! Perhaps it contains another
fragment to the artifact you've been puzzling over. When struck, it will
double the points of all remaining tiles and destroy them, completing
the level.
These
constructs are riddled with elaborate booby traps and ancient devices
waiting to be unleashed. As your ball hits this TRIGGER, lights spin,
and things shift. Beware – you may have just altered the rules of the
game!
This
motley collection of FIREWORKS have lengths of fuse string dangling just
above the ground. If you were to send a fireball careening through their
midst, what brilliant chaos you could create!
The
apparent delicacy of this PAPER LANTERN must conceal hidden blades,
because when your ball passes through the lamp, it splits into three,
each of them aflame as they continue on their paths.
This beautiful JADE ELEPHANT conceals a spring-loaded trunk. As your
ball hits the statue, the trunk pushes it on in a new direction and a
little faster than before.
JUNGLE
"This", intones Mr. Lum, "is a Status Quo
Solidifier." Further questioning reveals that the device (which you
decide to call a NORMALIZER) will return any deformer or erratically
behaving ball to its original dimensions.
While
the Incrediballs are nearly impervious to the elements, a FIREPIT such
as this one will instantly transform a ball into an incendiary
projectile that causes much greater damage when impacting a construct.
If
your ball hits this DEFLATOR, it mysteriously shrivels to a fraction of
its former size. Careful! If you lose the ball, terrible things will
happen!
The
light filtering through the jungle canopy seems to create a world all
its own here. Perhaps it is the heat, but things here seem to slow down,
to find a new rhythm that is close and hot and foggy. As your ball hits
this DECELERATOR, it, too, seems to slow.
The
wee beasties that fill this verdant forest have left their mark. A ball
that hits a SPIDER'S WEB momentarily sticks to it by an elastic
filament, swinging wildly around.
As
your ball hits his ancient SHRINE, it knocks a gold icon off the top,
releasing a booby trap: a GIANT BOULDER falls toward you, crushing
everything in its path! The deadly traps of the jungle's ancient
inhabitants are no match for your vessel's deflectors, though.
Some
strange enchantment seems to be at work, for the jaws of this giant
VENUS FLYTRAP seem to whisk your ball away, which then reappears in the
jaws of another carnivorous monster! This can also act as a portal to a
bonus level when glowing.
FLYING
FORTRESS
The
Fortress' infrastructure is equipped with what seems to be a pneumatic
communication system. By angling your ball into these VENT PIPES, you
can quickly send it to a far point in the pipe system. This can also act
as a portal to a bonus level when glowing.
When
your ball hits this strange contraption, it ignites an explosive which
launches a ROCKET into the construct, wreaking much havoc.
Whether
these GLOBES are in fact part of a navigational system ceases to be a
relevant question; A nudge from your ball turns them into gigantic and
powerful rolling weapons of demolition!
The
mechanized HARPOON is a deadly wonder of efficiency and delicacy. The
slightest touch will trigger a massive outpouring of force towards an
intended target. A ball that touches one will most certainly be
propelled in whatever direction the harpoon had been aimed.
EGYPT
In
the midst of the construct, you discover a hovering black OBELISK. When
your ball hits it, the obelisk fires a blinding and destructive beam of
concentrated energy, then rotates 90 degrees.
What
appears to be a GLOWING PYRAMID seems in fact to be a sort of gateway,
perhaps through another dimension, as Mr. Lynch postulates, for when
your ball hits it, it disappears, then immediately reappears at another
glowing pyramid. This can also act as a portal to a bonus level when
glowing.
 The
Valley of the Kings was equipped by its builders with safeguards to
punish graverobbers and others who would violate the dignity of those
buried here. These sculptures will launch POISONED DARTS containing a
powerful toxin which interferes with your muscle control. Mercifully,
the effect is temporary.
PARIS
French
vintners bottle their wares under great pressure to preserve the
freshness of the wine. Exhibiting both panache and savoir-faire, you can
aim your ball to spin a WINE BOTTLE, which shoots its cork at a nearby
block with devastating results. Ooh la la!
The
Parisian sewer system is legendary, but even so it is surprising how
quickly your ball gets whisked from one MANHOLE to another. Perchance
some alien technology is helping it along? This can also act as a portal
to a bonus level when glowing.
The
city of lights explodes in color when you trigger these FIREWORKS.
NAUTILUS
The
Nautilus seems powered by these large canisters of compressed steam. You
can use your ball to knock a hole in an AIR TANK which will cause an
explosion, the force of which can accomplish much destruction on your
behalf.
These
PRESSURE HATCHES have the fury and unpredictability of a small
electrical storm. Upon contact, they will spin and throw your ball in
unforeseeable directions. Mr. Lynch ponders their strange design, and
infers that they somehow serve the purpose of pressure equalization.
You
can use this spongy SEA ANEMONE for its elasticity to slingshot your
balls in new directions.
ATLANTIS
These
giant undersea CLAMSHELLS open when you hit them, releasing giant pearls
which roll slowly but crush everything in their path.
The
water in Atlantis is subject to mysterious eddies and currents.
Occasionally you may find these harnessed in an ENERGY VORTEX, capable
of pulling an object, like your ball, out of this dimension, and hurling
it back out different point in space. This can also act as a portal to a
bonus level when glowing.
These
ancient TURTLES carry many eggs inside their resilient shells, waiting
to deposit them on shore. However, if you knock one just so with your
ball, it will shoot its egg like a projectile.
Enlarge
- Enlarges the paddle from it's current state, which is very helpful
when there are a lot of balls on the board
Shrink - Shrinks the paddle, making it more
difficult to navigate the board
Chaotic
- Creates a random shooting direction when the ball leaves the paddle
Magnetize
- Causes the paddle to become magnetic, catching each ball that hits it.
This allows you to plan your shots with much more accuracy.
If you hold
down the left mouse button the ball will instantly bounce off the
paddle. This is good if you don’t want the ball to stick to the paddle.
Gummy
- Creates a string that ties the ball to the paddle.
Ice
Maker - Turns the paddle into an ice gun, which destroys whatever it
hits
Tesla
Ball - A ball of electricity shoots out of the paddle gun
Magnetic Missle - Searches and destroys the closest target to it, for
those hard-to-hit remaining blocks
Lightning
Rod - A bolt of lightning shoots out from the gun, hitting its target,
and a lightning bolt from the sky shoots downward destroying anything
above the lowest level
Iron Juggernaut - A massive iron projectile which plows through
everything it comes into contact with.
Incredi-shock
- A shockwave that destroys everything on the lowest level of the field,
causing everything above it to drop
Treasure
Collected - When you open a treasure chest, the treasure will fall
towards the paddle. If you get it, it will double the point value of all
remaining blocks on the board and clear the level
Poison
Dart - Watch out for this one! When you are poisoned, the paddle
controls are reversed, making it very difficult to control what you are
doing
*For better performance: Run the game in
full screen. Turn it on by pressing "F" or select it from the
OPTIONS Menu.
Controls are mouse and keyboard. When playing
Incrediball™, the mouse is the only way to control the paddle.
Pressing 'P' on the keyboard will pause the game and 'ESC' will exit to
the in-game menu.
Your scoring is based on the number of blocks
cleared and treasure collected. |
